Co/In은 함께라는 뜻의 접두사 Co 와 반대말의 역할을 하는 접두사인 In을 붙여 동전이라는 뜻의 coin과 같은 철자를 만든 것으로 동전 뒤집기와도 같은 유희적인 연주, 원을 이루는 연주를 상징하는 제목이다.

어린이 오케스트라의 연주를 듣고, 레퍼토리의 식상함과 아이들의 연주의 어려움에 충격을 받고, 신선하면서도 놀이같이 할 수 있는 연주가 없을까 하고 만들어낸 작품이다. 서울대학교 국악과에서 국악기 버전으로 문래예술공장에서 개작 초연한 바 있다.

이 작품은 또한 관계에 대한 다양한 테마를 가지며, 사회속에서의 관계에 대한 이야기를 품고 있다.

크게 Dependent와 Independent그룹으로 나뉘며, 그 안에 또 다른 그룹들이 존재한다.

각각의 그룹은 서로 다른 관계를 지니며, 예를 들어 바이올린 그룹은 지휘자를 등지고 앉아 자신의 바이올린 리더에게 종속되어 연주한다.

또 다른 바이올린 듀오는 서로를 서로가 바라보며 다양한 행위를 한다.

첼로 독주자는 섬처럼 아예 독립적으로 그 누구의 지시도 받지 않으며(심지어 지휘자의 지시도 받지 않는다.) 그가 시작함으로써 곡이 시작된다. 그리고 플루트 연주자는 그림자로서, 첼로 독주자의 연주에 따라 자신의 연주를 만들어 간다.

4부분으로 나눠지며 파트 3에서는 A그룹의 카덴차, 파트4에서는 디펜던츠 그룹 내의 종속관계의 해체가 이루어진다.

Co/In is a title that symbolizes a playful performance like flipping a coin and a circle by using the prefix "Co" meaning together and "In" acting as the opposite.

This work was created by listening to the children's orchestra, being shocked by the boredom of the repertoire and the difficulty of children's performances, and wondering if there is any new, play-like performance. The Department of Korean Traditional Music at Seoul National University first performed as a version of the Korean traditional instrument at the Mullae Art Factory.

This work also has a variety of themes about relationships and contains stories about relationships in society.

It divides into 'Dependent' and 'Independent' groups, and smaller groups exist within them.

Each group has a different relationship, for example, a violin group sits with the conductor back and plays subordinate to its own violin leader.

Another violin duo looks at each other and performs various actions in an equal relationship.

The cello soloist, like an island, is utterly independent and receives no direction from anyone (not even from the conductor), and the whole performance begins with his playing by his decision. And the flute player is a shadow, making his own performance according to the cello soloist's performance.
